These buns are absolutely great. They're slightly sweet (great for a breakfast), and awesome when served hot. However, they are absolutely horrible when served cold (still tastes better than fast food though).

Oops. Again, I make something with an acquired taste. XP First it's avocado ice cream, then spicy squid...what's next? Foie gras? XP I swear, the next thing will be pleasing to most palates! ^^;

But...I'm not giving a recipe for this one. Not because it's bad, but because they're complicated to make. Believe it or not, those square lumps of dough are complicated!!! Inside, they're like puff pastries (ever had a croissant or apple turnover?), except they're not as buttery/oily. So yes - and for anyone who knows how to make puff pastries, you have to layer dough and butter (though in this case it's dough and roux), fold, fold, and fold. It's a lot of work, and it's a complicated process, so I'm not going to bother posting.

Haha, just hope you like the way they look. XD I'll be making "giant fortune cookies" soon (maybe as soon as tomorrow, but it depends), and I'll post them here, assuming everything goes well (if not, it goes to scraps). :D If not, you all will probably get meringue drops or something.

Cuire c'est vivre. :)

You should totally make a cookbook!
If you do, I will be the first to buy it!
I do like avocado ice cream.
Believe it or not, my dad bought some one time.
Yeah, so...

The sesame buns look good!

BEHOLD! It's another fan-girl!

yes, I have often watched my poor boyfriend make puff pastry in the kitchen, it takes ages ! he sure knows all about the complicated process :)

Those buns look lovely ... seriously, my mouth is watering ! I want one ! I have a pretty open mind with food - so I'm sure I'd love that ... even if it's apparently an acquired taste ;)

Giant fortune cookies !! Yay !! :)

Whats the weirdest thing you've ever eaten ? Here's a small list of my fav gross foods:

- KFC (lol)
- Fried Lamb brains
- Beef Tongue (YUM)
- Steak and kidney pie (YUM YUM)
- Chicken livers and chilli (mmmm!)

Hahaha. It's actually not THAT complicated, just a lot of folding. XD I think it'd be much easier to teach with pictures, but a tutorial? That's a lot of work...

It's actually not that acquired...I think most people would find it "good", but it's not as sweet as other pastries are, so I wouldn't be surprised if people said it was "bland". XD But I'm glad you like the way it looks! I think next time I'll experiment with a honey glaze...

Yup! Nothing like fortune cookies (they're very similar to French wafer cookies)! Haha, but I had to put off cooking for another day because I had to go "floor moulding" shopping. XD We just retiled our kitchen, so we still need to add in stuff like that. But I did manage to make a couple of omelets (who knew gruyere cheese would work so well?). XD

I haven't really eaten anything gross, believe it or not...I'm a little more "wild" than average Americans because of my Chinese background, but I'm not half as adventurous as actual Chinese (I'm American born; I know more French than I know Chinese XD). People here say squid and octopus is gross, and they find something wrong with dried shrimp/fish...Haha, and people think I'm weird when I say I love fishcake. XD But yes, I guess the grossest thing I've eaten would be tripe.
:iconyamibaku:
REALLY? I didn't know stores sold avocado ice cream! Wow....XD

I don't think I have enough recipes to make a cookbook yet..a lot of my things on here are experiments (the only things I've really perfected are the banana bread and the muffins, and I've made those at least 10 times). But I'm flattered! :hug: Haha, thanks! :D

Haha, but I do wish to open up a cafe when I'm older (big dreaming, eh? XD), featuring all kinds of "bread/dairy" items from around the world. However, for the near future, I'll probably make a website featuring everything I cook with recipes. I just haven't gotten to it yet, seeing as I have to practice "shading boxes" for my art class. XD

Haha, it's too complicated for me to put it on here...It's not the mixing and stuff, but the folding procedures (it's kind of like puff pastry inside). I couldn't describe it in words (well, I probably could, but I find that hassle) very well. ^^;

Maybe if the demand for this gets great enough, I'll do a tutorial. But it looks like people are more interested in ice creams. XD
:iconyamibaku:
LOL, you don't like squid or avocados? XD

Well, I'll be posting both a "normal" dish (swiss almond ice cream) and a "weird" dish (tea eggs) tomorrow. XD
